Documenting stand-out dishes from around the world
I love finding good food wherever I go, whether it’s a local spot that taxi drivers frequent or a fine dining establishment with Michelin stars. The criteria that determines what makes it into my sketchbook is: wallet, mouth, eyes. Is it good value, delicious, and wonderful to look at? Most of my sketches hit on all three—except the fine dining stuff.
I document price in local currency and location, label ingredients and names of dishes the best I can, and jot down what I liked about it.
